Hello!
I’m Dilini Samarajeewa, a sustainability strategist and environmental educator, originally from Sri Lanka and now based in Canada. Over the past 18 years, I have combined my expertise in sustainability management, biodiversity conservation, waste management, and environmental education to help individuals, organizations, and communities create lasting environmental and social impact. My work bridges strategic thinking, community engagement, and actionable solutions, aligning efforts with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) to foster a resilient and equitable future.
Throughout my career, I have collaborated with globally recognized organizations such as the United Nations, South Asia Cooperative Environment Program, Center for Environment Education (India), South Asia Youth Environment Network (India), Eco-watch (Bangalore, India), and the Young Biologists Association of Sri Lanka. I have led initiatives that develop educational programs, community engagement strategies, and sustainability resources, helping people understand environmental challenges, explore solutions, and take meaningful action.
Currently, I serve as a Business Manager at United Way Alberta Northwest in Canada, coordinating and managing projects focused on youth and child poverty reduction, fully aligned with the SDGs:
