Hello!
I am Dilini Indunil Samarajeewa, a Sri Lankan by birth but currently residing in Canada. "As a passionate naturalist and experienced environmental educator, I have dedicated my career to making a positive impact in the field of environmental education. "I've also provided volunteer services for several organizations including the UN, South Asia Cooperative Environment Program, Center for Environment Education (India), South Asia Youth Environment Network (India), Eco-watch (Bangalore, India), TV-Asia Pacific, Sri Lanka Environmental Journalism Forum, Young Biologist Association of Sri Lanka , University of Sri Jayewardenepura, and University of Moratuwa, contributing to the development of educational activities and materials with a focus on the environment."
I believe that increasing public awareness of Global Environmental Impacts and the importance of its Environment conservation is crucial for a sustainable future. To this end, I aim to educate individuals and communities about environmental issues, including Environmental pollution and degradation, and their impacts on the environment and human health]. I believe that promoting sustainable and equitable use of biodiversity and natural resources through education is essential for the long-term health of our planet. I encourage individuals to explore and identify environmental issues and engage in problem-solving to take effective actions to mitigate the climate change and ensure the environmental sustainability. I believe that it is important to help individuals and social groups acquire knowledge of the environment beyond their immediate surroundings, including distant environments.
In addition to promoting environmental awareness, I also believe that it is important to build knowledge and awareness of the sustainable development goals and encourage individuals to take action to reduce their ecological footprint and adopt sustainable practices in their daily lives. I support promoting environmental education that is in harmony with social and economic goals and accords equal priority. Furthermore, I believe that developing innovative solutions to environmental problems through research and development of new skills is crucial for the sustainability of our planet. Lastly, I support promoting professional development and skills enhancement in environmental science to create a more environmentally literate workforce.
I believe that establishing a consistent and daily study routine to build good study habits and enhance educational goals is key to achieving these objectives . I am confident that this blog will contribute to achieving our vision. Thank you for reading, and I look forward to working towards a more sustainable future.
Lets protect our planet together.
